The cheapest way to get from Playa del Carmen to Belize City is to bus via Felipe Carrillo Puerto which costs $25 - $35 and takes 9h 48m. The bus from Chetumal to Playa is 4 to /2 hours. If you want to return to Belize, you can call Leslie's the day before and they will meet you. You can get an ADO bus to Chetumal -- several runs per day ( pesos). At Chetumal, get a taxi (about 30 or 40 pesos) to the Nuevo Mecado Lazaro Cardenas.

The only thing I didn't like is that they tell you it's 5 cenotes but truly, you cannot see the biggest open one, unless you get a tour, and no one tells you that until you're there and it's blocked off. The best place to go. Price is quite high 35 us dollar but this place is definitely worth visiting. The beach was great, with fun inflatable slides and climbing toys.
